Values

Peloton is a longstanding (close to 20 years) organization of DFW entrepreneurs with diverse backgrounds who are dedicated to support each other (Our Motto: We Have Your Back) both in our business and in our personal lives. We, who have been part of Peloton for many years, are committed to each other and to improving our lives in every way, beyond the friendships that have naturally matured over the years.
Basic Rules
We adhere to a few fundamental principles.
- We adhere to 100% confidentiality in that whatever is said during the meeting is considered “forum confidential” and cannot be repeated outside. If you fail to adhere to this rule, then you will be dismissed.
- We ask that you gain comfort with us to go to the “5%”, which is the top 5% and the bottom 5% of your life experiences so that we can celebrate with you about the best in your life and also support and help you navigate through the lowest 5% of your life.
- We believe that the meetings we have, that are very structured, also allow for natural discussion and presentation of both personal and business matters depending on what is most important in your life at a given moment. We have scheduled presentations once a month by a member, usually Covey’s Quadrant 2, meaning important but not urgent, that is strategic in nature and that are planned and coached in advance. Our second presentation is usually a Covey Quadrant 1, meaning important and urgent, and is not pre-planned but presented to put out a fire, so to speak, that is, to address an urgent need by a member that cannot wait until the next meeting.
- We also adhere to an established Constitution that allows us to abide by outlined tenets of behavior and conduct.
When we Meet
We meet every month (except in November) a total of 11 times typically on the last Wednesday of the month from 3:30 to 7:30 pm in uptown/downtown Dallas. Out of the 11 times of our meeting, two of these meetings are retreats that typically last a little longer than a weekend with a smaller one in mid-January and a bigger one (farther away) in mid-June to mid-July. We usually have a dinner after our meeting in town to get to know each other better and to further solve any outstanding issues not covered during the regular meeting time. Dinner is optional but pre-paid from our annual dues.

Are We Part of Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO)?
No, not anymore. We were for the first 10 years and have not been for the past 10 years. We are considered “rogue” in that we do not pay any annual dues to EO. We feel that all our funds are best used and deployed within our forum group toward our meetings, food, invited speakers, and retreats rather than to an international organization. Even though we believe that EO serves an important role in the entrepreneurial community worldwide, we have found that we love how we have run and kept our group thriving without need to be part of EO. We believe only a mature, well-structured, and committed forum group can accomplish this goal successfully without a formal association with EO.
Who We are Looking For
We are looking for an established entrepreneur who is still eager to grow his business and share his personal life with a like-minded group of fellow entrepreneurs (see our bios). Minimum criteria for acceptance follows EO guidelines of $1 million revenue annually and 5 full-time equivalent staff.
